Luxury Hair Extensions in Melbourne

At Hair Couture by Stephanie Johansson, we offer a range of different hair extension options such as: Miracle wefts/invisi wefts, V-light extensions, invisi tape extensions, classic tape extensions, beaded sew-in wefts, k-tips, I-tips & a range of temporary solutions like clip-ins, ponytails and halo extensions.

We ensure a custom-tailored solution for each client and expert recommendations to protect your hair from further damage during your hair extension experience.

Hair extensions are a great way to change the look or style of your hair, whether you’re looking to add length, volume or fill in gaps while allowing your natural hair to grow. You can even change your hair colour by using extensions to enhance colour through the ends.

Most extensions will require a maintenance lift every 6-8 weeks, but some may need as frequently as every 3-4 weeks. Keratin bonds can stay in the hair for 3-5 months without a maintenance appointment.

    Bespoke colour services designed to elevate your look with depth, dimension, and shine. From seamless balayage to rich, vibrant tones, we craft custom colours that complement your skin tone and personal aesthetic, using the highest quality products for stunning, healthy results.

Booking Policy

As a small, bespoke salon, each appointment is carefully scheduled to provide a personalised experience. My booking policy ensures that time, resources, and appointments are managed efficiently. Deposits and cancellation policies are in place to protect both my business and clients, allowing me to continue delivering high-quality services. Your understanding and support help maintain a smooth and fair booking system for everyone.

  • All new bookings require a deposit to secure the appointment. The remaining balance will be due on the day of the service. Extensions bookings require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Other services require a $150 deposit at the time of booking.

  • All bookings receive a confirmation text 7 days before your appointment—please confirm as soon as possible after receiving it. You will also receive a reminder 48 hours before your appointment.

  • All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • I understand that things happen, but any cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to your appointment will be charged a “late cancellation” fee of 30% of your booked service. If a deposit has been made, it will not be refundable.

  • If you need to change your booking (e.g., from maintenance & colour to maintenance only), you must notify me at least 72 hours prior to your appointment. If you fail to give notice, you will still be charged for the original service booked.

  • No-shows will be charged 100% of the booked service. This must be paid before scheduling a new appointment.

  • As I have limited space in the salon suite, please arrive alone for your appointment. If you need to bring someone, please inform me in advance, and I will do my best to accommodate, although this is not guaranteed.

  • Please arrive on time and allow sufficient time to find suitable parking, as it may not be possible to leave the salon mid-treatment. Recommended parking is at Prahran Square Carpark on Izett St.

If you’re a new client wanting to book in or get a quote, please send me a DM attaching:

  • A photo of your hair (preferably in natural daylight).

  • Any inspo pictures or explain what your hair goals are.

  • Any colour or chemical history for your hair, such as (but not limited to) colouring, bleaching, keratin treatment & extensions (the more detail, the better).

  • Full name and phone number.

If you wish to book a face-to-face consultation, message me with the day you wish to come in and what you wish to consult for (extensions, colour, etc.) or book online.
